Lawrenece Grossberg said that, when Sturat Hall once described himself as a political humanist and an intellectual anti-humanist, he perhaps is an ethical humanist.
"Ethics transcends the intellectual enterprise. Similarly, hope, in the end, transcends the political enterprise. Hope can be denial intellectually, but hope isn't defined intellectually."
